Focus Areas & Benefits

Key areas of focus identified in engagement with stakeholders are integrated optoelectronic devices, microwave devices and communications, microelectronics, and cryogenic electronic design.

Our project has the following benefits:

This includes large-scale single-photon sensing arrays for photonic QC, and advanced imaging, remote sensing, and communication. It will place the UK at the forefront of new technology development towards the “quantum supremacy” era, cement the supply chain capability and identify commercialisation pathways with an enormous societal and economic impact.

EPIQC's Team
Our team is ideally placed to address this challenge. We bring together the University of Glasgow (UoG), National Quantum Computing Centre (NQCC), National Physical Laboratory (NPL), University College London (UCL), University of Strathclyde (UoS) and Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC)
